ISLAMABAD – August 7: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Asim Munir, is scheduled to visit the United States this week, marking his second trip to the country in less than two months, according to international media reports.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir is expected to attend the formal retirement ceremony of General Michael Kurilla, the outgoing commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). General Kurilla has been known for his cooperative stance toward Pakistan and has acknowledged the country’s role in regional stability.

While no official itinerary has been released by Pakistani authorities, the Army Chief’s previous visit to Washington included a luncheon invitation at the White House, signaling a broader diplomatic outreach.

The visit comes at a time of evolving regional dynamics and growing military-to-military cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.

Further details about the Army Chief’s engagements in the U.S. are expected to emerge during the visit.
