Karachi | August 18, 2025 — Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb inaugurated the PHC Job Fair and Education Expo 3.0 at the Expo Centre Karachi on Monday, urging greater private sector participation in national employment initiatives.

After cutting the ribbon, the minister toured various stalls, engaging with participants and lauding the enthusiasm of young jobseekers. He commended the strong participation from government institutions, banks, and academia, but expressed disappointment at what he called the “limited presence of the corporate sector.”

“As Pakistan moves towards economic stability, private sector engagement in such initiatives is vital,” Aurangzeb told the audience. He highlighted the importance of aligning talent with meaningful employment opportunities, adding, “As we move in the AI-driven world, every transformation requires people, processes, and technology.”

The finance minister also stressed the significance of job satisfaction, advising young professionals to pursue careers in organizations they truly enjoy working for, since “passion fuels excellence and productivity.” He pointed to Pakistan’s untapped tourism potential as a national strength, urging all communities to collaborate for “sustainable peace and prosperity.”
In response to questions from reporters, Aurangzeb reaffirmed that Pakistan is on a path to recovery. He noted that international rating agencies had upgraded their outlook on the country’s economy in recent months.

The event concluded with the minister calling for deeper collaboration across all sectors to strengthen Pakistan’s human capital and economic future.
